1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Void Engine ("the Site") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Fan Project — Non-Commercial Nature

Void Engine is a free, non-commercial fan project created for the enjoyment of the Legend of the Five Rings (L5R) community. The Site generates no revenue, charges no fees, and is operated entirely at the owner's personal expense. Nothing on this Site should be construed as a commercial product or service.

3. Intellectual Property Disclaimer

Legend of the Five Rings, L5R, and all associated card names, artwork descriptions, game mechanics, and lore are the intellectual property of their respective owners, including but not limited to Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG) and Fantasy Flight Games. Void Engine is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these entities.

Card text and game data displayed on this Site are included under the fair use exemption of the U.S. Copyright Law for educational and reference purposes only. No brand logos, official artwork, or proprietary assets of the IP holders are reproduced on this Site. Card images are sourced from the Oracle of the Void, the official AEG card database.

These materials are for educational purposes only and may not be retained or further disseminated without permission from the original publisher. Please seek appropriate permissions from the original publisher before using any content found here.

4. Permitted Use

You may use this Site to search the L5R card database, build decks and lists, and share them with others, strictly for personal, non-commercial, fan use. You may not:

  • Use the Site or its data for any commercial purpose
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Site in bulk
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or compromise the Site's systems
  • Use the Site to distribute content that infringes on any third party's rights
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity

5. User Content

Decks, lists, and notes you create on the Site are your own content. By saving content to the Site you grant us a limited license to store and display it to you and, if you choose to share it, to others via share links. We do not claim ownership of your content. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

6. Account and Data

Creating an account requires signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google credentials. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Age Restriction

The Site is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the Site you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you may not use the Site. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Site is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of decks or lists, or any other damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Service Availability

We make no commitment to maintain the Site indefinitely. The Site may be modified, suspended, or shut down at any time without notice. We recommend exporting any decks or lists you wish to keep using the built-in export feature.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in Guatemala, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation wherever possible.
